A book by Haruki Murakami - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haruki_Murakami
The book revolves around a girl in her twentys, called Sumire (meaning Violet). The story is told by her best friend, K. It's an amazing story telling how Sumire for the first time gets in love - with a 17-year older woman! All at the same whilst the teller is incredible in love with Sumire. It all starts with a wedding reception, comes to a job, and ends with a vacation around Europe where Sumire disappears. In the story it's also explained how Miu's (the woman Sumire loves) hair turned white on one night, why Sumire is called Sumire, how K feels everytime he's with Sumire, and how Sumire changes and yet doesn't...
The book is amazing. I honestly have only said that about 2 books before in my life, and this time I mean it. It's so incredible and it really shows how love is incredible and weird. If you haven't red it I strongly suggest you do. It's amazing. A-ma-zing!
Thank you Emma for saying it was a good book, hell yeah. It's one of those books you want in paperback and have it in your purse everywhere you go! Or at least I do...
