So... what is the choice? Is the movie better than the book, or is the original story better than the Hollywood version? I think it might come down to what you do first. If you see the movie first, and then read the book, you'll prefer the movie, because that story was is the one you know. But if you read the book first, and then watch the movie, you'll have a feeling of, well, let's just say only 2 things were the same in the movie as in the book.

I 100% prefer the book. It was so great, and it was really hard to get the time right, as it jumped around, but that was what made it so cool. And all 12 or 13 questions, were much better in the book, and so were the stories that explained why he knew the answers.

Also in the movie, you'll notice his name is Jamal Malik. In the book, his name is Ram Mohammed Thomas, and that changes the story a lot. In the movie he also had a mother, who was killed, but in the book a lot avolves around him imagening a female being, dropping him off at the church, when he was only few hours old.

Well, no matter what I'm sure the movie is great, it's just hard to really see it when you expect it to be something else, you know? Oh and might I just add the 2 things who were the same, was 2 questions, not even the stories to why he knew the answers, but the questions. Ah well.
